Christian Louboutin Shoes: Re-Setting Trends

January 18th, 2009

Christian Louboutin Shoes are a famous brand started by the man of the same name in 1992. Since 1992 the shoes have had a red-lacquered sole which has since become the trademark for this luxurious footwear.

He has long had an obsession with womens clothing beginning as a twelve year old when he used to sneak into Paris nightclubs and watch the showgirls perform. It was there that heels ruled and his fascination with creating the Christian Louboutin Women’s Shoe began. He later dropped out of school against much resistance from family and friends to pursue his dream.

Upon the launch of the footwear , the company received much praise for their uniqueness that went beyond just the red sole. Christian Louboutin Shoes were regarded as one of the companies that brought stiletto heels and pumps back into fashion. The company is known for having dozens of styles with heel heights that go beyond 4.72 inches. He says he wanted to make a variety of footwear in which women could feel confident and empowered. With heels that large, I’m sure anyone who wears a pair feels quite empowered, that is if they can stand and walk in them with confidence and ease.

In addition to re-instituting fashion trends, his Shoes also have a celebrity following. Both Christina Aguilera and Nicole Kidman wore a pair during their weddings. Britney Spears, Leighton Meester, Angelina Jolie and Paris Hilton are all fans while Patti LaBelle even signed an endorsement contract with the company.

Recently, he has made a line of footwear known as Espadrilles. They are sold in partner with One & Only and at their resorts in the Bahamas, Dubai, the Maldives, Los Cabos and Muaritius. They are also sold at his boutiques in London and New York. The line was inspired by his numerous stays at the Maldives resort. He was inspired by the colors there and considers this line a great shoe for looking good while on vacation. The colors are meant to be shown off under the summer sun, when relaxing.

The man clearly has a knack for clothing design and it seems as though his A-List clientele will only help bolster the name. He continues to be innovative while looking to the past for inspiration, a combination that has clearly worked well for him. And if the designer continues to feed off inspiration in a variety of places, the shoes should continue to come out sophisticated and fun.

Soft Skills: pertain to the intuitive, creative and emotional right side of the brain

Which types of skills predominate?

Think of your best skills.

Now list all your interests and put them in order of your preference, just as you did with skills.

You keep on asking “why” questions until you reach a point where you no longer want something for the sake of something else. At this point you have arrived at a value.

Pregnancy and Smoking – Understanding Why These Two Have Nothing in Common Whatsoever

January 18th, 2009

Sadly, mothers who smoke during pregnancy and after their babies are born do not understand that pregnancy and smoking do not mix and that they are not doing either themselves or their babies any good. Smoking reduces the supply of oxygen to the baby while he is in the uterus. Babies are more likely to die in the womb or at birth if their mothers smoke; they can be born prematurely and are sometimes small and sickly. After birth, these babies are at greater risk of cot death because they are living in a smoky environment.

Sometimes it is too hard for women to give up smoking even though they are anxious to do what is right for their babies. So if can actually acknowledge that pregnancy and smoking are not related what so ever, keep in mind that:

-    if you can give up, do
-    if you think you could give up, get all the help you can from your GP, from your midwife, from your partner and friends.
-    If you simply cannot give up, try to cut down; every cigarette you do not smoke is going to be good for your baby.

Women who are pregnant and who smoke should always keep in mind that the most precious thing in the world is now the new coming baby and he deserves all the sacrifices.

Even statistics show that pregnancy and smoking have nothing in common. They show that if the majority of pregnant women gave up smoking, the number of cot deaths may be reduced with 10%.

Statistics show that from 20% of women who smoke, 20% to 30% smoked during their pregnancy as well and more than 50% smoked more than a half a packet of cigarettes a day.pregnancy and smoking
