Cleopatra. Elizabeth I Marie Curie. Amelia Earheart. Valentina Tereshkova. Salome Alexandra. Joan of Arc. Katherine Kuhlman. These are just some of the names that helped cement Women’s place in history, society and culture. The life and legacy are proof that women are able to guide and promote change. However, the contribution of cultural and historic features will be enough to be completely free from the shackles of discrimination against women. There is still much left to do to be union members. Women leaders in the ministry, author and evangelist, Myrtle Pellew reveal the struggle that women face in one of the major institutions of society: the church and meetings, the required power of the structure.
Pellew recognizes the alarming reality of discrimination in the church. In his own words, the struggle of women to be freed from the bondage of patriarchy, oppression, discrimination, many virtualization and subjugation within the church to be a long and difficult. The Church has shown a tremendous force behind each painting a wall partition between men and women and more lurks poison of separation. It has not been able to serve as a bastion of liberation in which male and female leaders can work together in harmony to spread the gospel of Christ, and the exercise of spiritual gifts.
writing this report, Pellew gives Bible-based insights and strategies that are aimed to liberate women by making their role in the Church and give them equal opportunities. Readers are encouraged to stand firm on removing the gender barriers not only in church but in all areas of society. Women leaders in the Ministry is more than timely and the issue of gender equality, it is an inspiration to all women who seek a better future and wisdom for those who want to make this possible.
