FYI- I called teratology (experts on substances which can affect fetus). They told me not to worry about alcohol/substances ingested within the first two weeks after conception… during this time, they do not reach the baby. Just make sure to stop IMMEDIATELY once you find out you’re pregnant.

1-2 cups a day is fine according to my ob

I found out with my first when I was 2 months pregnant. I had taken heavy meds that were prescribed by docs. and trust me these meds were really really STRONG (it was like 5 diff meds which I had to take), after I found out I stopped taking them and my baby is as healthy as ever. Hes really smart for his age too (he’s 3). Most likely you’re baby is fine! Just make sure to stop.

amandapanda1116: I went out to a gig, had ridiculous amounts to drink (e.g. shotting Tequila) I also was drinking about a cup of coffee a day then a couple days after the gig i though ..hey.. it’s been a while since i had my period.. i took a test and yep, i was pregnant. 7 weeks pregnant at that.. my daughter is not 15 months and a very happy, healthy little girl (i stopped drinking/etc after finding out i was pregnant) So yes, if you stop drinking and smoking after finding out. You’ll be fine!

the breast thing is so true. they hurt when i run, walk too fast, sit down too hard,….i can’t do anything but walk. otherwise i’m holding them trying to stop the pain.

  16. GREEKxISLANDxGAL says:

you are sooo stupid! cafeine = nono.

  17. pacifichotwaters says:

The important thing is to stop and pray to God that child will be healthy and try to quit as soon as possible. When you look at something bad you want to do just look at your belly.

  18. Machute8484 says:

No one can give you the answer to that really. All of what you have said in reference to drinking, smoking and caffeine are all teratogens. The embryo/fetus is most suceptable to teratogens from fertilization to 11 weeks, not saying its ok to do any of that after then either.

  19. Machute8484 says:

I know what you mean, i’m 8 weeks and I was having the “all day sickness” as well. I went to my OB and she perscribed Zofran, those pills work wonders. I take one in the morning when I get up and i’m fine all day. You should ask about it at your next appointment. I’ve also read that vitamin B6 works as well. Good luck.

    oh…. now I’m fucked!!!

  21. blaqkrabbits337 says:

umm u have to cut back smoking slowly. the baby does go thru withdrawls too

drinking has also a HUGE affect on the baby.

    im pregnant right now…

take prenatal pills. pray hard tht your baby will be fine

  22. cky2k7 says:

is it fucked up to be preg at 16 or 17? kinda good or bad? idk

  23. amandapanda1116 says:

I want to know this if anyone could help I do thank you.

If I were to drink beer, smoke, drink coffe ect. and find out I was five weeks prego, whats the risk my baby would not be healthy if I stoped it ALL at around the five week mark. Just wondering what you guys think about that?

  24. supersrox says:

You are out of your mind to think drinking “cola” is okay while pregnant. Didn’t anyone (your doctor in particular tell you that caffeine is bad for your baby? And artificial sugars in diet or caffeine free is just as bad. You may as well smoke while you’re pregnant too, if you seriously intend to drink five sodas a day.

    That’s just terrible.

  25. babymaxz81 says:

oo ok thanks i understand now l0l
